Fund for Public Schools

Without the support of businesses, industry partners, and the community, CTE would not be able to enrich the learning experience of the over 70,000 high school students it serves. There are many ways to be a part of or contribute to CTE—by turning your professional expertise into teaching practice as a CTE Teacher, by helping schools align their programs to industry trends, by hosting a student intern, and by funding CTE programs and initiatives.

Fiscal support of CTE can be directed to CTE-wide initiatives that affect all schools, such as CTEISP or you can opt to support a specific CTE program at a school (i.e. by offering scholarships). However you choose to direct your giving, you can do so through the Fund for Public Schools, which facilitates partnerships between the philanthropic community and the NYC DOE. The Fund supports the DOE's work to meet students' diverse needs by supporting some of the most innovative programs in 3K-12 education at the largest school district in the country.

There are many examples of how businesses have supported CTE. Below are a few select stories of how fiscal sponsorship has impacted the lives and learning experiences of CTE schools and students.
